This rarely seen video of Bill Hicks, which originally aired on the public access channel in Austin, Texas was broadcast shortly after his “big break” David Letterman episode had been filmed and then subsequently censored.
Amazingly Bill had known he had cancer for at least 5 months at the time of filming this (but didn’t mention it in the interview) and had already announced his retirement from the comedy circuit in America.
