Cleveland Heights jail

Another African-American woman has been found dead in a jail cell  this time just outside Cleveland, Ohio.

Ralkina Jones 37, of Cleveland died on Sunday in the Cleveland Heights jail.

The medical examiner has completed an autopsy and says the death doesn’t appear “suspicious,” but it remains under investigation.

Her death came just two weeks after both the Native American activist Rexdale W. Henry, and Sandra Bland were found dead in their cells in Mississippi and Texas.

Kindra Chapman, an 18-year-old black woman was also found dead hanging in her jail cell in Jefferson County on July 14.

Press TV report: Ralkina Jones, 37, who was arrested in Cleveland Heights on Friday night after an altercation with her ex-husband, was found dead on Sunday morning.

She was arrested for breaking out the driver’s side window of her ex-husband’s car and then swinging a tire iron at him.

“During the incident, Ralkina’s 12-year-old daughter was in the back seat of her vehicle, which she attempted to run Brandon [Jones] over with,” according to a police report.

Her family said that she was “perfectly fine” whey then went to see her at the jail on Saturday.

According to Cleveland Heights police, Jones was found to be “lethargic” around about 7pm on Saturday night and rushed to a local hospital.

She was released and taken back to the jail a few hours later. Throughout the night, she seemed fine in periodic checks conducted, but found dead on Sunday morning.

The family is now demanding answers as to how she died.

“[My sister] would want us to find out why,” Jones’ sister, Renee Ashford told local media. “You can’t just tell me one minute I seen (sic) my sister, then the next day she [is] dead. That don’t (sic) even make sense. And it’s just, ‘I can’t help you. I can’t tell you.’ Like, no. That’s un-human.”
