Police have arrested a second gunman who was caught driving a car loaded with machine guns and semi-automatic weapons, just one day after the Las Vegas attack.
Federal agents are investigating why 42-year-old Scott Edmisten was carrying a cache of weapons including two submachine guns and 900 rounds of ammunition.

Despite an obvious connection between this arrest and the Las Vegas terrorist attack – the mainstream media have completely ignored this latest development.
Deputies found Scott Edmisten, 43, of Johnson City, carrying a .357-caliber Magnum, a loaded .45-caliber semi-automatic, a .223-caliber fully automatic assault rifle, a .308-caliber fully automatic assault rifle, more than 900 rounds of ammunition, and survival equipment, Washington County Sheriff Ed Graybeal said.
Federal agents have downplayed the possibility that Edmisten could be connected to the Vegas massacre, claiming he was apprehended too far away from Las Vegas when they arrested him 32 hours after the attack.
However, according to Neon Nettle, Google Maps shows that it takes 26 hour to drive from Las Vegas to Tennessee – which would have given him more than enough time to make the journey.
This time is based on the assumption that one would be traveling the speed limit, but Edmisten was caught by police because he was speeding, which would reduce his travel time.
Allow time for stops and to sleep and there’s plenty of time.

Wusa9.com reports: Graybeal asked the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms to help investigate, since the automatic weapons aren’t registered and lack serial numbers. He told The Johnson City Press that Edmisten had apparently modified the AR rifles to make them automatics.
“Anytime you have several firearms and several hundred rounds of ammunition in a vehicle, that always causes a concern,” said Michael Knight, an ATF spokesman.
Authorities still haven’t determined why Edmisten was carrying all that firepower, but they “don’t see a connection” to recent mass shootings, Knight said.
The arrest came a day after Stephen Paddock killed 59 people and wounded more than 500 in Las Vegas, firing down on a music festival crowd from a high-rise hotel suite. Some of the 23 guns in the suite were equipped with devices that enable a rifle to fire continuously, like an automatic.
“It’s not connected to any of the other national incidents, but timing obviously was a concern,” Knight said.
Knight said investigators are tracing where Edmisten’s weapons came from.
“Our priority is reducing violent crime on the front end, so that’s the other thing we’re looking at, along with motive: Were these items going to be used for a criminal act or were they just being transported from one area to another area?”
Graybeal said Edmisten threatened his arresting officer and lunged toward investigators trying to question him. He’s jailed without bond on charges of possessing prohibited weapons, speeding, and felony evading arrest. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.

You realize if google maps says 26 hours, that means 26 hours of straight driving, right? Like, no staying at a hotel, no getting gas or food, no nothing. It implies that traffic will be perfect – no major accidents on the main highways through I think 7 states, no rush hour traffic in any of them, nothing. So you think 6 hours is enough to account for all of this things?
Nice try, but you are really stretching here
Guys cruising around armed to the teeth and you feel that there’s no possible connection, perhaps planning on doing something similar somewhere else? Is this normal behaviour in America?
yes it is
it wouldn’t have taken him 26 hours. Factor in speeding and one could easily shave off 2-4 hours.
I drive across the country for a living and this is more than easily doable. You sound like a total retard
I know. I was an OTR Driver for years and I thought the same thing. Not only is it doable. It is done every day. I’m not saying this guy has a connection, but the impossibility of a 32 hour drive from Vegas to Johnson City isn’t an obstacle.
The guy looks like he hadn’t slept in days.
Remember the guy who turned himself in the day after the Orlando Pulse shooting with arms cache “John Weslie xxxxx”. He claimed he was trained at secret CIA black ops camp in Virginia with others to carry out attacks. After Omar Mateen was killed he decided to turn himself in and not carry out attack at gay pride event in Ohio. Two cops who took his story were silenced and never mentioned again after he was turned over to FBI.

If that is his stash in the photo above, I’m not seeing anything really that odd or threatening. I have an old neighbour near me in Ontario who said at one time he owned over 80 rifles. That number is down to over 30. No big deal. He never went on a rampage or threatened anyone.
Does he have them all in his car and speed from one state to another?
It’s two rifles and two handguns, that is hardly “an arsenal”, the writer over exaggerates the facts and there are simple explanations for his rifles which are perfectly legal except for the stated “full auto” aspect, which isn’t evident upon a visual inspection by police. Too much misinformation is spread by the media in order to fall in line with the Liberal Anti Gun Agenda. The Media has a mission, that mission being to make Americans who are unfamiliar with firearms, frightened that there is a murderer on every corner just waiting for someone to kill. This is the result of a lying Media being paid to do the dirty work for even dirtier Political figures.
Don’t let this distract you from the fact that in 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum-security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem… if no one else can help… and if you can find them… maybe you can hire… The A-Team.
what a crock i shared this story last week before Vegas ever happned,
Yes the arrested him, but it had nothing to do Vegas…
Really? Because multiple sites say he was arrested a day after the Vegas incident. Sounds like YOUR story is a crock lol – another example of this story… http://time.com/4969885/tennessee-submachine-guns-scott-edmisten/
When I saw this story last week they implied that lives were saved by catching this guy as he had it in for a judge, CPS workers and some other folks over having his kids taken from him. Sounded like the local cops knew him and his intent as well and it nothing to do with Vegas
There is no “obvious” connection to Las Vegas just because of the timing of his arrest. I’m not defending anyone here, but there seems to be a lot of imagination, presumption, and speculation that went into this story.
There is a lot of connection. This guy is not your typical crazed mass killer. He is definitely linked and looks very similar to the security guard that was firing into the crowd at ground level. Not to mention he had altered semi automatics made to be fully automatics just like the ones in Paddocks room.
Coincidence. Probably re-adjusting his stash and did just enough to get pulled over. Guess I don’t do conspiracy theories. I heard Trump killed Abraham Lincoln….Hmmm.
