Barbra Streisand Says ‘Bully’ Trump Bought Assassination Attempt on Himself

Fact checked by The People's Voice Community

Hollywood celebrity Barbra Streisand has blamed Republican presidential nominee Donald J. Trump for the attempt on his life, accusing the former president of being a bully and thus bringing the violence on himself.

According to Streisand, alleged shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks was bullied in school and was taking revenge on Trump because he has “always been branded a bully.”

Streisand’s comments represent the latest attempt to condone the violence from the far-left, with many people demanding she face the same fate as Jack Black’s Tenacious D bandmate Kyle Gass who infamously said “Please don’t miss Trump next time” in front of a stadium crowd.

Trump spoke at length about his near-death experience during his speech at the RNC on Thursday.

“I’m not supposed to be here tonight,” he said, later adding: “I stand before you in this arena only by the grace of Almighty God.”

Trump certainly wasn’t standing before the audience thanks to the efforts of the Secret Service. Calls are continuing to mount for the resignation of Director Kimberly Cheatle due to the astonishing number of basic security failures at the Butler Park, Pennsylvania rally.

Cheatle will testify to the House Oversight Committee on Monday about the assassination attempt.

“Americans demand answers from Director Kimberly Cheatle about the Secret Service’s historic security failures that led to the attempted assassination of President Trump, murder of an innocent victim, and harm to others in the crowd,” GOP Rep. James Comer of Kentucky, the committee’s chairman, said in a statement confirming the hearing at 10 a.m. ET.

The Republican-led committee and Secret Service have been in a back-and-forth this week about a date for Cheatle to testify, which culminated in Comer subpoenaing the director to appear before lawmakers on Monday.
