A woman from Shanghai enjoying a Royal Caribbean cruise from Japan to China fell from the cruise ship and spent 38 hours at sea before being rescued.
The 32-year-old tourist named Fan, managed to fall overboard after leaning forward a bit too far while enjoying the view from the fourth deck.
Metro reports:
Chinese media reported that she fell from the fourth deck – the same approximate height as a seven-storey building.

Miraculously, however, she survived with only blisters on her arms from jellyfish stings.
Fan was on a five-day Royal Caribbean cruise from Shanghai to Japan and South Korea when she fell into the water, according to the South China Morning Post.
She called for help but nobody could hear her.
With nothing to hold on to, no life jacket and nobody hearing her cries for help, she ended up drifting in the sea for almost two days.
Fan somehow managed to tread water while dozing off, waking up when a fishing boat eventually appeared on Friday morning.
Her parents, with whom she was travelling, apparently did not realise she was missing until several hours had gone by.
Since her incredibly survivor’s story, people have been expressing their amazement on Chinese micro-blogging site Sina Weibo.
‘She didn’t eat and drink at sea for 38 hours and she survived?’ one user wrote. ‘That’s a miracle.’
