A heartbreaking video that exposes two Israeli police officers terrorizing a defenceless and confused 8-year-old Palestinian girl has been posted online.

The video, which was filmed last week and posted online Tuesday, shows two heavily armed Israeli border officers bullying a terrified 8-year-old Palestinian girl, Anwar Burqan, on Hebron’s al-Ibrahimi Street, demanding she stop on the roadside. When the first officer confronts the girl he stomps on her bike, breaking it, and barks at her until she runs away crying.

After the girl runs away, another officer appears, grabs her broken bike and throws it into the bushes.

According to Haaretz, large sections of al-Ibrahimi St. are closed to Palestinian traffic. Apparently, the girl’s bicycle was confiscated because she was playing on a side of the street closed to Palestinians.

The Free Thought Project reports:

This tyrannical policy gives these officers no reason to act in such a manner. Anwar Burqan is an innocent child, she does not deserve to be terrorized by cops because she happened to be born Palestinian.

According to the report in Haaretz, Ranya, the girl’s mother, told Haaretz that since the incident took place her daughter refuses to leave the house, is scared, and shouts. “It was a trauma that will stay with her for her whole life. I don’t know for what reason that soldier attacked her. Even if she entered a place she wasn’t allowed to enter, what danger or threat did she pose – she’s only an eight-year-old girl.”

The mother added that she didn’t expect that the officer would be punished or prosecuted.

She is right.

Raed Abu Ramileh, the man who filmed the incident recalls, “I saw that soldier coming toward the girl and I decided to document it. It was very difficult to watch, especially when you hear the girl crying and wailing.”

Indeed, it is very difficult to watch

The act of governments breeding hate and resentment into its citizens to the point of dehumanization is chilling. When agents of the state can, without hesitation and without it weighing on their conscience, terrorize an innocent child, something must be said.

Even a top Israeli general, during the country’s annual Holocaust Remembrance Day, addressed and exposed this problem when he likened the atmosphere in modern day Israel to 1930’s Nazi Germany.

“If there is anything that frightens me in the remembrance of the Holocaust, it is discerning nauseating processes that took place in Europe in general, and in Germany specifically back then, 70, 80 and 90 years ago, and seeing evidence of them here among us in the year 2016,” Maj. Gen. Yair Golan, the Israeli army’s deputy chief of staff said.

Golan referenced the Hebron incident, in which an IDF soldier was filmed executing an already incapacitated Palestinian assailant that was lying on the ground defenseless.

The soldier in question, Sgt. Elor Azaria, has been arrested and brought up on manslaughter charges by a military tribunal for the killing; a move that has been met with ferocious opposition by Zionists who claim that the brazen execution was somehow justified.

In yet another damning crime against humanity, IDF soldiers allegedly gunned down an innocent family. The brutal incident took place at the Qalandia terminal, north of occupied Jerusalem. IDF soldiers reportedly shot and killed the Palestinian mother of two, who was five months pregnant, and her 16-year-old brother. Then they prevented Palestinian medics on the scene from rendering aid.

Exposing the murder of a pregnant woman, the execution of an unconscious man, or the terrorizing of a young child is hardly antisemitic, yet this label is often thrown around and used to chastise people who dare call out the crimes of the Israeli state.

Even Gen. Golan, who is Jewish, and a general in the Israeli army, was ridiculed for his comments.

It is high time that people wake up to the control the state has over their minds. From ISIS to America, the state is able to convince their enforcers to commit horrid acts in their name — all the while their subjects cheering it on as patriotism.

Throughout history, very small groups of humans have been able to convince very large groups of humans to carry out evil and immoral acts of murder and abuse. It’s time to stop this.

While the citizens bash each other over silly issues of right vs. left or Islam vs. Christianity — those at the top, get richer, more powerful, and more tyrannical.

Race has disconnected us, religion has separated us, politics has divided us, and wealth has classified us. It is time we shatter this paradigm and see each other as humans — not flags, crosses, or classes. If we don’t, humanity’s short time on this planet will inevitably be brought to a violent end.

  1. not a fan of zionism……maybe the mother should try keeping watch on her children, no matter. If the kid had a bike…are they as bad off as some say? Just saying……seeing new clothes and all. Since there is a  video. readily available …did someone exploit this little girl? Neither side looks good.
