A climate scientist attending the annual TED conference in Vancouver, Canada, has blown the whistle on the dangers of spraying chemtrails in our atmosphere.

During the 2017 talk, several speakers were tasked with discussing the alleged benefits of geoengineering in a bid to combat climate change.

Activistpost.com reports:

Business Insider reported:

On Wednesday morning, computer theorist Danny Hillis got onstage and proposed a series of ideas for what he called a “thermostat to turn down the temperature of the earth.”

Hillis, the founding partner of tech innovation company Applied Invention, rattled off a number of geoengineering concepts that have popped up in recent years, including building giant parasols in space, putting fizzy water into the ocean, and sending chalk into the atmosphere so that it can reflect sunlight and theoretically cool down the earth.

The science of geoengineering has increasingly become a part of the public conversation around climate change and an ever-controversial topic within the scientific community. Geoengineering is a type of weather modification (or climate engineering) which has been researched, but, until recently, has been considered too unpredictable to attempt on a large scale.  According to a 2013 congressional report:

The term ‘geoengineering’ describes this array of technologies that aim, through large-scale and deliberate modifications of the Earth’s energy balance, to reduce temperatures and counteract anthropogenic climate change. Most of these technologies are at the conceptual and research stages, and their effectiveness at reducing global temperatures has yet to be proven. Moreover, very few studies have been published that document the cost, environmental effects, socio-political impacts, and legal implications of geoengineering. If geoengineering technologies were to be deployed, they are expected to have the potential to cause significant transboundary effects.

In general, geoengineering technologies are categorized as either a carbon dioxide removal (CDR) method or a solar radiation management (SRM) (or albedo-modification) method. CDR methods address the warming effects of greenhouse gases by removing carbon dioxide (CO2) from the atmosphere. CDR methods include ocean fertilization, and carbon capture and sequestration. SRM methods address climate change by increasing the reflectivity of the Earth’s atmosphere or surface.

Aerosol injection and space-based reflectors are examples of SRM methods. SRM methods do not remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, but can be deployed faster with relatively immediate global cooling results compared to CDR methods.

Hillis told the audience at TED 2017 that in order to “undo the effects of the CO2 we’ve already released” we would have to put chalk in the sky at a rate of 10 teragrams a year. Once Hillis finished singing the praises of geoengineering, climate scientist Kate Marvel was give a chance to respond. Marvel is an associate research scientist at Columbia University, as well as a Science Fellow at Stanford.

“Danny, you seem so nice, and I hope we can be friends, and you terrify me,” she said.

“Geoengineering, she said, is like going to a doctor who says ‘You have a fever, I know exactly why you have a fever, and we’re not going to treat that,” Business Insider reported. “We’re going to give you ibuprofen, and also your nose is going to fall off.’ It is, Marvel believes, a band-aid for the problem accompanied by consequences we can’t currently imagine.”

Marvel also stated that reducing the amount of sunlight is “problematic” and would not do anything about other environmental dangers, such as ocean acidification. Marvel was followed by another call for geoengineering from University of Oxford researcher Tim Kruger. The King of Global Warming Doomsday Prophecies himself, Al Gore, said that geoengineering could be a possible time in the future, but not as the only solution.

Marvel is correct that the consequences of geoengineering are not currently known. However, there have been a number of studies which have lead to disastrous possibilities. Most recently, in late October 2016, the United Nations’ Convention on Biological Diversity released a report examining the problems of geoengineering and whether or not humanity will be forced to employ the practice in an attempt to halt climate change. The report,  On Climate Geoengineering In relation to the Convention on Biological Diversity: Potential Impacts and Regulatory Framework, found that geoengineering “would reduce the impacts of climate change on biodiversity at the global level,” but also cause unpredictable rain and temperature distribution on the local level.

The U.N. report states that the effectiveness of geoengineering is “uncertain” and “in reducing the scale of one problem, other new problems would be created. Thus, there would also be risk of the geoengineering action also contributing to other drivers affecting biodiversity loss and ecosystem integrity.” Dr. Phillip Williamson, lead author of the report and scientist with the Natural Environment Research Council in the United Kingdom, says he is skeptical of geoengineering.

The U.N. concludes that although Solar Radiation Management may possibly slow the loss of Arctic sea ice, but not without “unacceptable climatic impacts elsewhere.” One particular method of SRM involves injecting aerosols into the atmosphere via airplanes. The study found that the use of sulphur aerosols for SRM would be associated with a risk of stratospheric ozone loss. There is also a risk that stratospheric aerosol injection (SAI) would have a small impact on climate change but could lead to negative impacts on biodiversity.

The geoengineering TED talks were preceded by a concerning announcement from Harvard related to an upcoming real-world climate engineering experiment. At the recent “Forum on Solar Geoengineering Research,” Harvard engineer (and consistent proponent of climate engineering) David Keith announced his plan for a new project that will assess the risks and benefits of deploying geoengineering on a large public scale. Keith and fellow engineer, Frank Keutsch, will research the benefits and risks by spraying particles such as sulfur dioxide, alumina, or calcium carbonate from a high-altitude balloon over Arizona during 2018.

David Keith said there will be a multi-phase plan for research and conducting real-world testing within the next 18 months. Keith also called for stratospheric spraying within three years and continuous spraying for at least a century. Technology Review reports that Keith said his team is already in the process of “engineering design work with Arizona test balloon company World View Enterprises,” and discussing the “appropriate governance structure for such an experiment.”

“In terms of governance, they have distributed, there’s more actors involved than we expected there would be,” Keith stated. “There’s more need to understand and to speak openly about the associated risks and what they imply for governance.” The very notion of unilateral geoengineering means that other countries could face potential risks. This creates a need for new governance structures, or possibly, a global government. This makes the Trump administration’s support for geoengineering curious since President Trump has been very outspoken against “globalists.”

Yet again, the U.S. government is planning to enact a possibly dangerous, untested technology on not only the American population, but the entire world. There are realistic solutions that do not involve edicts from states and statists. If the free hearts and minds of this world – the free humans – recognize the opportunity for a radical change in individual behavior we could erase the unsustainable, destructive industries that damage the planet and all life. If we choose to stand by and not change our own habits and communities, we are giving the state the impetus to act. We are sending the message that the people cannot organize and accomplish goals based on mutual aid. It’s time to stand together in defense of the life on this planet.

  1. What BS. The USA has been dumping Fly Ash, thats your Chemtrials, on the land and people of America for years. Just look up people, you can see the crap being sprayed, see it slowly forming funny looking clouds. All the heavy metal particles fall on the land, poisoning it, the particles lodge in the passage way of the lungs, causing respiratory problems, leading to death for some people. Been going on for years. Much of the Canadian forest are dying from the Aluminum poisoning of spraying this crap on the land.

  2. I look up and sometimes I can see no less that 7 chem trails stretching from south to central Texas. I’m north of Austin. I have no idea who is doing it but they have been doing it for years.

  3. I live in beautiful Portugal ,and for th few years our weather has totally changed ,since they started spraying these poisons sometime for days on end all day.We had the coldest winter in history this year.I tell people to look up and see what they are doing ,they are military for sure. What in Gods name can we do to stop these monsters

    • This is war against humanity. Find out where these flights are originating from and destroy the airfield. The other option is to drop these birds out of the sky somehow. To do nothing is to die a slow painful death.

  4. HAARP is also connected to chemtrails. As HAARP contact ran out and was being given over to new ownership. Their wasn’t one chemtrail in the sky for two weeks. Any where. This happened I believe 2 yrs back in July. After it was signed and turned over to new ownership chemtrails started up again. So we all know their is something else behind this. We know weather manipulation can also cause earth quakes, tornadoes, title waves etc etc. Look in Spain example it is minus 2 c. Wtf snowing wtf. We also know global warming is a money maker. It’s straight bullshit for Corporations to make dollars.
If these chemtrails ain’t harming us why do they use pilots that have no lives and no ties. They are called Loner pilots why these pilots are transferred base to base with in one month of flying. Simple they don’t want them to have ties to anyone.
A don’t care attitude. That’s why they look for in them. If any pilot had a conscience they would think twice flying this crap.
Look into the companies and ownership of them who manufacture and modify the plans. Cheney is part owner. Also look who is head of global warming ..we makes money and who suffers. The Elite and once again the people. Population control plain and simple.

    • Jose I was observant of that gap as well. Your comments are either intuitive or informed… HAARP use in military contracting, related to spraying, is inarguable. Most people talk about ‘chemtrails’ in relation to geoengineering even though it’s a field of privately funded and university level experimentation that has been happening on a fairly small scale. It HAS been happening, but it’s the area of military defense programs(globally actually) where this discussion really lies. It’s in the public record already. One such program early on was called ‘RF Dominance’ .. basically, this has been an area that falls under ‘national security’ not just for the US but as well with each of the 1st World nations… so, the idea of public ‘awareness’ isn’t even meant to be. NEED TO KNOW in the realm of defence programs doesn’t exist, that’s already a centuries-old fact so it should be universally understood that this topic would be off-limits to public knowledge until the time when each defunct program is finally declassified. I’m stating the researchable facts, not opinion, and certainly not defending any of this. I’m generally in a state of heartfelt frustration at the public lack of grasp on the topic. For people who do not understand, and therefore deny all of this tech happening overhead, here is a simple breakdown: Besides the whole arena of ‘geo-engineering’ and its flagrant abuse of research and industrial funding to carry out real-time experimentation, stratospheric and lower spraying of nano-particals is happening and has been happening for decades as an RF field enhancement technique. Guidance systems and radio-frequency technology for military aircraft, aerospace programs, rocket systems, and the use of HAARP in those weaponry systems all are considered to be vastly enhanced by the conductivity and other exotic properties of heavy metal nano-particles, with a few other nano-particle applications as well. People who drone on about the idea of chem-trailing being ‘conspiratorial’ and site moisture and evaporation in reference to this technology have no idea what they are really saying, and are simply parroting the grade-school understanding of a modern default response to the overwhelming yet rational fears implied by such actions happening worldwider over our heads. Yes, this all defies logic, and yes it’s criminal on a scale beyond recklessness. Regardless, it is no matter of agreeing to disagree on the truth behind it, it’s widely documented and easily vettable. Planet earth is in it’s entirety, from one superpower to the next, being constantly blanketed with cross-hatching aerosol delivered patterns of metal toxins so small that they penetrate the epidermis and lungue tissues straight into the blood stream of all species. The idea is that a country like the US, in an age of arms wars that rely on complex rocketry systems, is that we can’t afford to let our guard down, and having a permanent blanket of airsapce dedicated to our defenses, is a necessity. Current and future large-scale studies will and are already turning up the body of work to show the need for haulting these practices. The implications beyond incompetance and money related misguidance, and into darker potentialities about intent, are up to each person to ponder, or not. For myself, it’s obvious that national security interests, protecting a population from other outside threats of acts of war, by adding to the generational mortality rate and jacking up the trillion dollar and profoundly ineffective cancer treatment industry, is just one of many starting points. Denying the existance of the practice, is in my opinion, off the table for discussion and doing the nation, world and species a lazy disservice.

  5. In addition to the many cited reasons for the chemtrails, I have been watching here in Australia for years a pattern whereby severe droughts have been induced over regions that were once prime farming areas. The value of the land plummets… the banks move in and foreclose on properties owned by hardworking farmers for generations, other farmers cut their losses and sell their land for a fraction of its former worth to overseas buyers.. then miraculously the chemtrails move to a different area and the weather returns to its normal patterns. Its the same practice as short selling the stock market

  6. Geoengineering is BS intended to legitimize chemtrailing while at the same time legitimizing man-made climate change. Most likely, chemtrailing is both a direct attack on those in the population whose immune systems cannot withstand the added chemical onslaught (the nutritionally starving poor, the elderly, etc.) as well as an attack on the base of the delicately-balanced food web on which many humans depend for their survival. Such an attack as this on the food web has in fact been carried out before. For a great example of one that is on-going, see my paper, “Two Coastal Marine Disasters and the Fingerprint of Malthus” ( http://truthbetold.strangled.net/articles/tcmdatfom.pdf ). Incidentally, this paper is only part one of a multi-part series that hadn’t been completed… The war on the weak–which likely includes anyone who might happen along and read this very comment–has, in modern times, always been a war on the FOOD of the weak (sometimes even via a war on their food’s food…) and the above mentioned article illustrates this using two examples. As a teaser, the lesser of these two examples involves cannabis hemp. If you think that cannabis was actually outlawed either out of concern for the public’s health (because it’s flowering tops could be used to produce a drug) or out of greed (because many other *industrial* products could be made from this plant having many names),… you’d be wrong. History tells a whole different, far more intriguing and flavourful story. Bon appétit!

“If we choose to stand by and not change our own habits and communities, we are giving the state the impetus to act. We are sending the message that the people cannot organize and accomplish goals based on mutual aid. It’s time to stand together in defense of the life on this planet.”

Or, perhaps we are sending the message that WE’RE NOT IDIOTS! For one thing, there’s not too many people in the world. There’s just too many stupid (sorry, ignorant) ones who have failed to realize or appreciate the finer points of our real, bona fide history! — the postman ( truthbetold.strangled.net )
