An expecting couple nearly had a fit when they saw the ultrasound images of their unborn baby for the first time.
Their baby wasn’t alone in the womb. An unexpected presence lurked behind the fetus’s head.

A copy of the scan uploaded online shows the foetus reclining in mum’s tummy while the mysterious figure stands watching from one side of the image.
Yet when the shocked parents asked their sonologist for reassurance, the doc could offer no answers – only saying that they had never seen anything like it.
Reddit user Luigi Vampa, who shared the scan, said the ultrasound was a friend’s and that the parents were “freaked out” by what they saw.
“Interestingly enough the baby was born 2 months premature – like get me the hell out of here,” he wrote.
“Everything is fine now. They asked the tech who did the ultrasound what it was – they didn’t really have an answer besides they haven’t seen something like that before.”
Visitors to the site speculated about the presence with some saying it resembled a Hindu goddess, others that it was a mermaid and some that it was satan.
Nearly 400,000 people have seen the image since it was uploaded to Imgur yesterday night.
It comes after a year of multiple spooky sightings, which were caught on camera around the world.
