Multiple sclerosis, or MS for short, is an inflammatory disease in which the fatty myelin sheaths around the axons of the brain and spinal cord are damaged, leading to demyelination and scarring as well as a broad spectrum of symptoms.
It impacts the ability of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord to communicate with one another effectively. When the myelin is lost, the axons are no longer able to effectively conduct signals.
There is no known cure for the disease, but Dr. Wahls found a way to eat least keep it at bay. What do you think? The before and after photos below are…stark…
