With all the nuclear-missile tests conducted by North Korea recently, leader Kim Jong-un has something dark planned for the celebration of the 69th anniversary of the foundation of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Saturday.

According to the Associated Press, shortly after North Korea launched its sixth nuclear test using an H-bomb, the “Hermit Kingdom’s” leader Kim Jong-un issued a statement through its state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) claiming the weapon “is a multi-functional thermonuclear nuke with great destructive power which can be detonated even at high altitudes for super-powerful EMP (electromagnetic pulse) attack according to strategic goals.”

North Korea has previously celebrated key dates with displays of military power and with all the recent missile tests, Kim Jong-un probably has a dark plan for tomorrow’s anniversary.

In 2015 North Korea turned back its time zone by half an hour, creating ‘Pyongyang Time’ on its 70th anniversary of Korea’s liberation from Japanese occupation.

On the anniversary last year, they celebrated with an underground nuclear test saying it was building protection against ‘threats and sanctions’.

The nation held its sixth and most powerful nuclear test to date on Sunday claiming it was the detonation of a thermonuclear weapon built for its ICBMs.

The statement released by North Korea, pictured below, said:

The H-bomb test was carried out to examine and confirm the accuracy and credibility of the power control technology and internal structural design newly introduced into manufacturing the H-bomb to be placed at the payload of the ICBM.

Previously the country tested its developmental Hwasong-14 ICBM, twice in July and the flight data from these tests suggest these missiles could hit the US.

Tensions between North Korea and the US have been at a high level for a while, with the two nations continually threatening each other, leading many to believe World War III may be around the corner.

I guess we’ll see tomorrow what Kim Jong-un has been planning for his country’s big birthday.
