Man Cut Off Mom’s Head
No, this isn’t some sick Halloween joke. This is awful. According to multiple sources, a Long Island, NY man decapitated his mother and then committed suicide by jumping in front of a train. According to an article on AOL.com: “A Long Island man beheaded his mother, played with her severed head and then jumped in front of a train, police said.
Patricia Ward, 66, was found dead Tuesday night near her Farmingdale home. Derek Ward, her 35-year-old son, died after jumping in front of a Long Island Railroad train about a half-mile away, authorities said.”

Sounding like the stuff of nightmares, the article goes on to say: “The grim murder was capped off when Derek Ward allegedly kicked his mother’s head across the street like a soccer ball, neighbors told investigators, according to the New York Daily News.”
“He Played With Her Severed Head”
The New York Daily News spoke to the man who found the body, a taxi cab driver named Jack Imperial, 41, of Briarwood, Queens, who was taking a client to a meeting when he made the horrifying discovery.
“The body’s feet were at the curb, the shoulders were at the middle of the street. The head was across the street,” said Imperial. “I’ve seen some gruesome stuff in my years of living … but nothing like this. I didn’t expect to see something like this, especially not out here.” Imperial said.
Anytime you see a headline like “Man cuts off mom’s head“, you expect their to be a history of depression or mental illness – so far, not in this case.
“Cabbie Needs Therapy”
The article went on to say: “Imperial said his cab driver ‘got sick’ after seeing the woman’s disembodied head and quickly sped away. The duo wondered if what they had seen was a seasonal prank, he said.
“’I thought it was Halloween hoax. There was no big splatter of blood. It looked staged,’ Imperial said.
A dispatcher for Yellow Cab Corp. in Farmingdale said several of his drivers — who have to pass the block after picking up passengers at the train station — had reported seeing the stomach-turning scene.
‘One guy said he needs therapy now,’ said the dispatcher, who declined to give his name. ‘They said it was one of the most disgusting things they’d ever seen.‘”
