North Korea has issued a chilling warning to the US and South Korea threatening “real war” on its enemies “at any moment.”

After months of sabre-rattling the threat level from the DPRK is at a three-year high.

The Daily Express reports:

A threat level indicator by KCNA Watch, an independent website which collates data and information on the maverick nation, is now at its highest since the summer of 2013.

The terror index, which measures the level of aggression in North Korea’s state media, will only increase concerns about the volatile leader.

An editorial by Pyongyang-based state newspaper Rodong Sinmun blasted the actions of South Korea and the USA, who have been carrying out military drills and imposing trade sanctions this summer.

It said: “The South Korean puppet warmongers’ ceaseless war drills targeting the north in the hotspot waters in the West Sea can spill over into a real war any moment.

“The relations between the north and the south are now in the worst phase of tension due to the US and the south Korean regime’s madcap war rehearsals.

“The South Korean puppet forces are trouble-makers and the root cause of disasters as they are keen to ignite a war against the DPRK, obsessed with the ambition for stifling the fellow countrymen, utterly indifferent to the destiny of the nation.

“If the South Korean warmongers persistently go reckless, defying the DPRK’s warnings, they will face more severer punishment than what they sustained during the Yonphyong Island shelling incident.”

In response to these threats, the Japanese government has ordered its government to be prepared for a North Korean military strike at any time.

A spokesperson for the defence ministry confirmed its forces would remain on a state of alert for at least three months – an unusual change from the usual practice of introducing temporary measures during North Korean drills.

In recent months, Kim Jong-un has been acting increasingly eratic, leading experts to believe he may be fearing a coup attempt on his leadership.

The dictator has ballooned in weight due to stress-induced binge eating and has also instructed border guards to kill snakes over paranoid fears of reptilian spies.North Korea
