A massive fire has erupted at an industrial park in Louisville, Kentucky sending thick, black smoke billowing into the sky Friday morning as the flames consume an enormous building.
Nearby, witnesses reported seeing huge clouds of dark smoke and hearing explosions. Local media report that all employees are safe and accounted for.
The now five-alarm fire has reportedly destroyed Building 6 at the General Electric Appliance Park

According to WAVE-TV: Numerous fire companies — more than 100 firefighters in all — responded to the fire at 4000 Buechel Bank Road that was first reported at about 7:30 a.m. No injuries have been reported.
On a normal day, there may be 30 to 50 employees inside the building, according to an employee who did not want to be identified. However, Friday is a company holiday for GE so no one was in the building, the source said.
The person also said Building 6 houses in-bound parts and distribution offices, among other things.
WAVE 3 News’ Katherine Kington was live on the air when the building’s roof began to cave in.
Air 3’s pilot said reports are coming in of ash on planes at Louisville International Airport. The effects of that are not known at this time. WAVE 3 News reporter Chris McGill reported that some pieces of ash were as big as lunchboxes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
