Former UK prime minister Tony Blair has been accused of pushing a ‘creepy’ plan to have every citizen issued with a ‘digital ID’.

The British war criminal, along with former Tory leader William Hague are demanding that the Government introduce ID cards that people can have on their phones.

The ID would hold details such as their passport, driving licence, tax records, qualifications and their right to work status.

Mail Online reports: Sir Tony – who attempted to introduce ID cards while in Downing Street – insisted that new biometric technology would overcome concerns about online dangers.

He and Lord Hague have insisted that a ‘fundamental reshaping of the state around technology’ is needed amid a ‘radically’ shaping world.

However critics hit back at their demands, with ex-Tory chairman Sir Jake Berry branding digital IDs ‘a creepy state plan to track you from the cradle to the grave’.

Campaign group Big Brother Watch condemned Sir Tony for ‘reviving failed proposals for an intrusive mass digital identity system and a database state’.

But a snap poll by YouGov revealed more than half of Britons (54 per cent) would support the introduction of a system of national ID cards in Britain.

According to the survey of more than 4,000 adults today, almost a quarter (23 per cent) said they would strongly support national ID cards, with 31 per cent saying they would ‘tend to support’ such a plan.

This compared to 13 per cent who said they would tend to oppose the introduction of national ID cards and 14 per cent who said they would strongly oppose such a plan. Almost one in five (18 per cent) replied ‘don’t know’.

Sir Tony and Lord Hague unveiled their proposals in a joint article for The Times, in which they said ‘politics must change radically because the world is changing radically’.

‘We are living through a 21st-century technology revolution as huge in its implications as the 19th-century industrial revolution,’ they added.

They warned that current politicians were ‘in danger of conducting a 20th-century fight at the margins of tax and spending policy when the issue is how we harness this new revolution to reimagine the state and public services’.

Outlining their proposals for a shake-up of Whitehall – including digital IDs for every citizen – they also called for ‘a national health infrastructure that uses data to improve care and keep costs down, and sovereign AI systems backed by supercomputing capabilities’.

  1. He’s Catholic and obeys the Pope. He deceived all of England when he was in politics making them think he was Church of England to win their votes His wife and kids were Catholics So them if he was Church of England he failed to uphold himself as Headcif the household, his wife failed to submit to his authority and his children rebelled against spirituality and fundamental Christian values. I don’t think that’s likely I think he was Catholic I know that a Catholic mother, married to a Protestant is normally secretly scorned by the Vatican for failing to win her husband over to them as she is supposed to do because otherwise her children are considered illegitimate Bastard s, by the Vatican.
I don’t think that happened with them at all.
However a cathilic can if serving the Pope pretend to be what they are not. As soon as he was out of office he ran IMMEDIATELY to the Vatican, telling the mefia he was converting I believe he went to get Absolution really.
And all liars, go to Hell the Bible says and has nothing I’m aware of enabling any Pope to give absolution, in fact I cant remember seeing anything about a pope anywhere in the whole Book. If there is I’d like to know where

  2. The 54% are those who are dim-witted in retaining their own personal security and expect the government to keep them safe from cyber crimes. You can bet these all included the bio weapon injected crowd.
