Blind Mother Sees Son For First Time With New Device

Fact checked by The People's Voice Community

A blind woman who had never seen any child with her eyes was able to see her newborn son. Something she never imagined she would be able to do.

Some very expensive glasses called eSight glasses have enabled hundreds of blind people to see. However, this is the first time such a moment has been caught on camera for the world to see.

Nvonews.com reports:

It is needless to say that the woman whose happiness knows no bounds since she saw her own child is all praise for the device that helped her watch her newly born bundle of joy. The woman, Kathy Beitz is a legally blind mother. Legally blind is a term used to determine eligibility for government disability benefits . In the US, the criteria for legal blindness are: Visual acuity of 20/200 or worse in the better eye with corrective lenses (20/200 means that a person at 20 feet from an eye chart can see what a person with normal vision can see at 200 feet).

In a press release eSight Glasses says, “eSight’s elements work in tandem with the user to improve the quality of an image reaching the eye, delivering extra data and triggering an elevated reaction from the cells in the eye”.

Meanwhile Kathy Beitz in a video says, “For the very first baby that I get to basically look at getting my personal is really overwhelming…Even to appear at my husband hunting at him was such a superior feeling. I got to fall in like with him.”
