Israeli Defines Forces are on high alert after at least four rockets were fired rom Syria yesterday, two of which hit the Israeli side of the Golan Heights.
The IDF responded by saying they are “ready to respond to any incident”.

Tourists and residents in and around the area of Mount Hermon have been evacuated. Hermon is home to a popular Israeli ski resort.
The IDF said its forces responded with artillery fire in the direction of the rocket launchings.
The army is investigating whether the rockets were fired at Israel intentionally or were aimed instead at rebel-held regions on the Syrian side of the border as part of the internal insurgency targeting the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Israel’s Code Red siren blasted in the northern tip of the country, including in the towns of Odem, Al-Roum, Bukata, Majdal Shams, Masa’da, Neve Atib, Nimrod and Ein Kanya. All of those towns are adjacent or in close proximity to Mount Hermon, which straddles the Syrian border.
Residents in the north of Israel report a flurry of IDF activity.

Israel has been on alert and anticipating retaliation after an Israeli official took the unusual step of recognizing his country was responsible for a strike nine days ago on a Hezbollah convoy near the Israeli side of the Golan Heights.
The attack killed Iranian Revolutionary Guard Gen. Mohammed Allahdadi as well as a Hezbollah commander and the son of the group’s late military leader, Imad Muughniyeh. Hezbollah said six of its members died in the strike.
On Friday, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benjamin Gantz visited the IDF Northern Command, where he told reporters “the IDF is keeping a close eye on recent developments in the northern region.”
“IDF forces are alert and prepared to respond if needed. … The IDF is prepared for any scenario, and will on the one hand, exercise proper discretion, and on the other, operate with determination and the required intensity.”
Reuters quoted a senior Israeli security source Tuesday stating Iran’s Allahdadi was not the intended target of the strike and that Israel believed it was attacking only low-ranking Hezbollah members who were about to carry out an attack on the border.
Asked if Israel expected Iranian or Hezbollah retaliation, the source told Reuters: “They’re almost certain to respond. We’re anticipating that, but I think it’s a fair assumption that a major escalation is not in the interest of either side.”
Indeed, Iran wasted no time before threatening to hit back. The Revolutionary Guard chief, Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari, was quoted Tuesday telling the state-run Fars news agency: “These martyrdoms proved the need to stick with jihad. The Zionists must await devastating thunderbolts.”
